connect to your creativity
using the artist’s wayTaking inspiration from the transformative system “The Artist’s Way” to guide our journey of creative reconnection and personal transformation.
You’ll commit to creative rituals including Morning Pages — daily stream-of-consciousness journaling — and Artist Dates: solo explorations to spark inspiration, whether it’s a bike ride through Koh Yao Noi or a quiet moment journaling by the beach.

thailand’s best kept secret.

discover koh yao noi
Koh Yao Noi or “Small Long Island” isn’t the bustling, party-driven Thailand you’ve heard of. It’s a hidden gem — a place where the beaches are quiet, the vibe is untouristed, and life moves slower.
Situated between Phuket and Krabi, the island takes just an hour by scooter or car to fully explore. Traditional fishing villages, lush rice paddies and mangrove forests on the west coast; quiet beaches with stunning views of Phang Nga Bay’s limestone karsts to the east. A predominantly Muslim community, Koh Yao Noi prides itself on sustainable tourism, preserving its natural beauty and offering a tranquil, authentic escape.
a creative home away from home
We’ll be staying at Jaiyen — more than just an eco resort, it was built as a haven for creatives to refresh your mind, recharge your body, and renew your spirit. “Jai Yen” (Thai for “calm heart”) embodies the ethos of harmony — within yourself, your community, and nature.

questions, babe?
Absolutely! Almost everyone at this retreat will be coming alone. We encourage you to step out of your comfort zone and join us! Everyone at the retreat will be here to make new friends and connect.
We know how daunting it can be attending a retreat alone — we are super experienced at holding safe spaces for women. Our key words while planning every last detail: community, wholesome + comfortable, self care, safe, intentional, self discovery, creativity, flow state.
Nope! This retreat is for all women and non binary babes. Anyone can go through burnout or lack inspiration, but what we’re about at BOW is making sure all our experiences are delivered with the safety and celebration of Black women & POC in mind, and centring cultures from the global majority.
Yes, absolutely! This retreat is for all levels. The focus isn’t on your fitness level or skill — it’s about engaging in practices that help you step out of your head and into your body. Our trainers tailor each session to meet you where you are.
Yes! Our trainers are experienced in working with all levels, including advanced. Whether it’s refining your Muay Thai technique, upping the intensity of your runs, or the deeper mental resilience of ice baths, there’s more than enough challenge to keep you engaged.
The itinerary is roughly how our days will be covered, but things may change slightly depending on weather or the energy of the group. There will be 5 movement classes, 2 cultural excursions, and all meals covered regardless.
1. Fly to Phuket (or Bangkok). Phuket International Airport is serviced by many international flights. Or extend your trip: fly into Bangkok, explore for a few days, then hop down on a domestic flight (from around £13) or an overnight bus (around £14).
2. Meet at Bang Rong Pier. We recommend arriving in Phuket between 12pm – 4pm on arrival day to align with the free group transfer, included both ways. Detailed travel tips and flight suggestions will be shared closer to the retreat.
3. Longtail boat to Jaiyen. A scenic 45-minute longtail boat ride to Koh Yao Noi, then a 20 minute taxi through the island’s sights straight to the resort. You’re on island time now.
Yes absolutely! Pay your £250 deposit today, then the rest is split into 3 monthly payments (payment plan includes transaction fees). Select the payment plan option at checkout.
Unfortunately we won’t be accepting refund requests, however if you can’t make it you are more than welcome to sell your ticket / find a replacement, but it must be approved by us before making the transfer. Where a replacement is found, there is a £100 admin fee to cover transaction, processing and operation costs.
Whilst we encourage you to completely switch off and put the phones and laptops away, this is your time + you can do what you wish! There will be free time throughout the day for you to work, and desks included in the rooms.
Absolutely! Whether you want to explore Bangkok, relax on other islands, or visit cultural landmarks, we fully encourage adding a few extra days. We’ll send you a curated itinerary with our favourite recommendations — just let us know.
Please reach out to info@babesonwaves.club and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can!
