What are the Recovery Sessions?
From the 1st July, every 1st and 3rd Monday evening our WOC Ice & Sauna club will be popping up at Rooftop Saunas in London Fields for an after-work Recovery session. Join us for our launch social hosted by Jasmine, founder of Busy Babes

How does it work?
Rotate between our saunas with amazing Rooftop views and Cold plunge barrels with other founders, creatives and career girlies. Come with your friends or come solo to meet other WOC busy babes. For plungers & sauna babes of all levels.

What to Expect

Join us for an hour rotating between sauna and cold plunge. Your plunge and sauna rotation will be self guided, although we suggest rotating for 1-3 rounds, starting with a 10-15 minutes sauna followed by 1-3 minutes of cold plunging. If it’s your first time and you’d like some guidance or professional hand holding during your cold plunge, we can arrange for this on the day.

Please note we will be taking photographs and videos on the day of the cold plunges (not in the saunas). If you do not want to be photographed please let the front desk know when you check in.

 

What to Prepare

Make sure to bring:

  • A swimsuit (either a bikini or one-piece), or active wear (tight fitting sports bra and shorts)
  • Small towel for Sauna 
  • Bath towel for after your Shower 
  • Any amenities you need after a shower (eg moisturiser)

Why Cold Plunge?

From Finnish saunas to Caribbean Springs and Japanese Onsens, Hot-Cold contract therapy is more than a trend, but a practice with cultural roots found across our different heritages.

Beyond that, Cold plunging is a Flow State experience that boosts your productivity, creativity and focus. Although ice baths have traditionally been discussed in the context of recovery from fitness for athletes, the mental benefits are why we’re hosting these sessions. It’s been one of the key tools Babes on Waves founder Jasmine has used to navigate her burnout and manage the stress that comes with a work-heavy lifestyle.
